Day 359, Wednesday Concert in the park

The big excitement for today is the concert in the park tonight.  From 6pm to 7:30pm tonight is the Music on the Green concert and the performers are the "Noteables', which is a swing band.  At 10:30am we went down to the park the park and set up the tent and the weather was perfect and was supposed to stay this way all day. By 5pm the park was already hopping and by 6:30pm the park was packed with what estimated to be around 1,800 to 2,000 people.  The High Desert Model A's had 5 cars on display the kids area was packed with all kinds of things for kids to do including a 30' rock climbing wall.

The Noteables is an 18 member band, made up of mostly retired individuals.  The music was a flash back to the big band era and the audience was definitely from the era, but there were lots of young families there too.  There were 9 food vendors and numerous craft venders there as well.

The concert was very good and by 8:35pm we had the tent packed up and unloaded back at the office an was heading home.

I had just enough time to let the chickens out to enjoy the fading moments of daylight and then they were back in the coop for the night.  The broody hen was still sitting on her eggs and they should hatch in about a week.
