Day 186, Another wonderful Friday

Another work week is coming to an end the weekend is about to begin.  Work was the usual, Coffee Clatter in the morning, lunch at 1pm to let the chickens out, and a ribbon cutting for a new business at 4pm.  The roofers worked steady all day and the process of putting down the new roof, while still loud, was a lot quieter than taking up the old one.

At 6pm I had a retirement party for a highly respected and personal mentor of mine at Eagle Crest, so I just had enough time to get home put the chickens away and to the event.  Their were probably close to 150 people there for a wonderful prime rib dinner.  It was nice to see some old friends and to honor someone who I so greatly admire.

Following the dinner I met up with some friends, Wanda, Conan, Dustin and Erica, who had been out dinner and were going to go to Wanda and Conan's to play Wii.  It was nice to spend the evening hanging out with friends and having a few laughs.  Wanda had to work in the morning so we had to let  her get to bed, so left shortly after 10p.

Dustin and Erica had missed the ribbon cutting event at the new Yogurt shop, so we went there to check it out.  Their hours are from 11am to11pm, so we figured we had some time.  Surprisingly there were a lot of people there at 10:30pm at night.  Dustin and Erica sampled the various flavors and I went straight for the vanilla and then covered it with hot fudge, crushed Heath Bars and cherry.  So much for the diet and working out, but it was the perfect way to end the week.
