Day 401, Wednesday

We are experience the perfect September days that are so common for Central Oregon.  The day time temperatures are in the 90's so slightly warmer than usual, but the mornings are perfect in the mid 50's.

Today at work it was full steam ahead with the Leadership Redmond program and getting everything ready for the first day of class next week and the 'ice breaker' event tomorrow.  Today is also the last concert of the season and we set the tent up one last time.  Tonight's concert is the Hokulea Dancer and they will say good bye to summer for us in true Hawaiian fashion.

I took an extremely late lunch and let the chickens out at 3pm.  I then picked up a EZ-Up side wall from my neighbor to use at the concert (for a dressing room tent).  The concert started at 6pm and went until 7:30pm.  We estimated that there were about 1,500 people in attendance based on the fact that we handed out nearly 1,400 leis.

By the time we had packed up the tent and had everything unloaded it was 8:30 and it was already dark.  Where did our summer go?  I went home and put the chickens to bed and crashed out on the couch.
